The 2010 StrollerFit Easter Egg Hunt was this last weekend and it was so much fun! Thank you to everyone who came out with your families and made this event so successful!

MommyMuscle 8 Week Challenge
Date : Sunday, March 28th - May 23rd
"Not only do I feel stronger physically, I feel stronger mentally and emotionally. I had no idea how it was going to be with my husband gone during the week, but this challenge came at the perfect time. It has helped me push myself and become stronger physically. Probably without even knowing it, I began pushing myself in other areas and just became a stronger person overall. I'm not done yet!"
Other ladies have said it helped them stay motivated, held them accountable, and they pushed themselves more by doing the 8-week challenge!
One woman lost 2% body fat in 8 weeks (which is great!) and gained 2% of muscle!!! She is headed in the right direction!
Now it is your turn to get on the right track and have something to help you with your goals and to hold you accountable!!! You have nothing to lose by weight and inches!!!
FIRST ASSESSMENT : Harrison Park on Sunday, March 28th Option #1 will start at 1:30pm, Option #2 will start at 2:30pm. Meet at tennis courts.
FINAL ASSESSMENT : Harrison Park on Sunday, May 23rd Option #1 will start at 1:30pm, Option #2 will start at 2:30pm. Meet at tennis courts.
WHAT IS INVOLVED?
We will measure your strength, balance, agility, flexibility, aerobic condition, possibly weight, body fat, take your body measurements, visceral fat (the fat around your organs), BMI, your % of muscle.
Then I will give you homework each week to do that will help you progress up slowly and get stronger! The key is to be consistant. You have to do the homework, get to class, go to the gym, eat healthy, set your goals, plan out your week, keep a journal, to be successful, and to stay successful!!!
This challenge will help with all of that! This is how you are going to see results! Ask any of the women who followed the instructions for the last challenge! This is your life! Take charge of it! If you don't, who will???
To not focus so much on what the scale says, we are going to have 2 options of payment this challenge! There are some people for who the scale only adds stress!
OPTIONS AND COST :
#1 : Assessing strength, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, balance/agility, and core strength. (we will be doing different exercises than in the first challenge) Plus getting homework every week and constant emails!
$25.00 for the 8 weeks
#2 : Everything included in Option #1, PLUS weighing, body fat, viseral fat, BMI, % of muscle, and body measurements.
$35 for the 8 weeks

Link 4 Life Run

Location : Sedgwick County Zoo
Distance : 5K, 1mi
This race is to help prevent suicide. There is an open 5K run (with chip timing and a 45 min. time limit). The 5K will start at 7:45am and is $20 to register in advance and $25 on race day. You can register at First Gear starting March 19th-April 16th!

Distance : 10K, 2mile
- Get a brochure (Tonya has a bunch of them)
- Fill it out
- Write a check or cash ($20.00 is the team fee; save $2.00!)
- And give your registration and money to Tonya by March 24th and she will turn it in!
***Do not sign up at First Gear or on line. You cannot show you are on a team that way and you will not get the discount!***
IT DOES NOT MATTER WHICH RACE YOU ARE RUNNING OR WALKING TO BE ON OUR TEAM!!! So come and join in on the fun!
There are NO strollers allowed

2nd Annual StrollerFit Easter Egg Hunt
Date : Sunday, March 28th
Time : 3:30pm - 4:30pm
Location : Harrison Park (meet @ tennis courts)
WHAT TO EXPECT:
1. We will be doing a WORKOUT so wear workout clothes and shoes!!!
2. I will have 13 gallon trash bags for you and your family to put their eggs in as you find them!
3. If the kids want to bring their own Easter basket that is great- we will be having an Easter Egg Hunt for just them at the end!!! Their eggs have a fun surprise in them (not exercises)!!!!
4. An extra mat or towel for your significant other if they are coming!
5. A box of 13 gallon trash bags for the YWCA Women’s Crisis Center
HOW THE EVENT WILL GO:
1. We will first warm up and we will go through the exercises that you will find in the eggs
2. Then you will have about 25-30 min. to find 270 eggs and do the exercises in the eggs as a family
3. The adults get to play a fun game (exercise related of course)
4. We will team up and count each others Easter’s Eggs and I will come around and write it down
5. Then the kids get to have their Easter Egg Hunt!!! They have special florescent eggs with a special prize inside!
6. I will announce 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place of the Easter Egg Hunt and the winner of the game we will play!!!
